SUMMER GREEK SCHOOL IN KALAMATA MESSENEA

 

SUMMER SCHOOL OBJECTIVES:

-  Teach language, history, folklore, philosophy, and culture.

-  Go to educational trips (i.e. archaeological sites, museums).

- Enhance the Greek education of students through the daily exposure to Greek culture in a  pure Greek environment.

- Study Greek language and history and create a Greek conscince that will contribute to the preservation, cultivation, and promotion of the Greek culture in the disapora.

 

GENERAL INFORMATION - SUMMER SCHOOL

-  Participants must be 18 to 24 years of age

The summer school has three sections. The beginners' section for students who do not have knowledge of Greek; the intermediate section and; the advanced section for students who have the ability to understand and communicate in Greek.

- Courses are also attended by teachers of Greek language, if the number of teachers allows it, who simultaneously participate to special seminars on teaching Greek as a second language.

Classes take place from 10:00 am to 1:30 pm in the University's classrooms.

School attendance and accommodation are free of charge. Free breakfast and lunch are also available.

- The air ticket is paid by the participants.
